Changes in Delivery

Matt Kahler, primary delivery driver for the libraries on Route 3, will be leaving NSLS at the end of August.  Matt started with NSLS in April of 2006, and although he has enjoyed the job, has decided to go back to school full-time in the fall Semester.  He will be attending DePaul University to pursue a degree in Political Science.

Having covered his route for him during his most recent vacation, I know first hand that he was well liked by those he had the opportunity to interact with along the way.  Many library staff members were asking when his last day would be and said that they would miss him and his pleasant personality.  We will miss him on the delivery team as well.  Matt has always been a source of humor on the staff, whether we were laughing with him or at him.

Alec McMullen, who has also covered Route 3 on several occasions, will be moving over to do so permanently from Route 4, where he has been the primary driver since starting with NSLS.  Saul Pina, our part-time sorter and substitute driver, will move into a full-time role and become primary driver on Route 4.

Please join us in wishing Matt well with his future endeavors, and welcome Alec and Saul to their new assignments.
