Join the Save Illinois Libraries Brigade

Here’s some of the NSLS gang with Secretary of State Jesse White following the “Save Illinois Libraries” rally at the ILA conference.  If you haven’t yet visited the Save Illinois Libraries website and joined the online advocacy brigade, surely this group of smiling advocates will inspire action. On the site you will be able to contact your legislators using Capwiz and also join like-minded advocates on Facebook.  (L-R) Kris Dieter, Sarah Long, Secretary White, Kathy Caudill, Kay Schlumpf, Dale Lawrence

Here’s what you can do!

Kathy Dempsey at NSLS

How wunderbar to have Kathy Dempsey on NSLS soil today.  Kathy has been a generous go-to marketing resource for many years. This multi-tasking wiz serves as Editor of Marketing Library Services newsletter (and past editor of Computers in Libraries), Blogger at The ‘M’ Word, and author of The Accidental Library Marketer.  One bonus nugget Kathy shared: When talking with potential partners, note that if libraries weren’t smart investments, then Bill Gates’ foundation wouldn’t be supporting them!
